Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 2026-10-05

These terms govern your use of Kirima (kirima.app), the WhatsApp gateway that lets you send and receive WhatsApp messages from your own systems through an API, webhooks and a browser inbox. By creating an account, signing in, or calling the API, you accept them. If you do not, do not use Kirima.

The service

Kirima connects a WhatsApp number you own through WhatsApp's multi-device feature ("linked devices") and exposes it to your systems. Kirima is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc., and it does not use the official WhatsApp Business Platform.

Your account

You sign up with your email address, which must be verified before you can sign in, or with a Google account. An account belongs to one person or business and must not be shared or resold. You are responsible for everything done under your account, including through API keys you issue. Keep your password and key secrets private: a secret is shown only once, and anyone holding it can act as you within its scope. Revoke or rotate a key as soon as you suspect it has leaked, and tell us if you believe your account was used without your permission.

WhatsApp numbers and the risk of a ban

You may only connect numbers you own or are authorised to operate. Because Kirima works over WhatsApp's linked-device protocol rather than an official API, WhatsApp may restrict, suspend or ban a number at any time, at its sole discretion, especially when it sends in bulk, to people who did not expect the message, or in a pattern that does not look human. Kirima paces each device to roughly one message every two seconds to lower that risk, but it cannot remove it. The risk of a restricted or banned number, and anything lost because of it, is yours. Kirima cannot unblock a number and does not compensate for a ban.

Acceptable use

Only message people who have given you their number and agreed to hear from you, and stop when they ask you to. Do not use Kirima for spam, unsolicited bulk or cold messaging, fraud, phishing, scams, gambling, illegal goods, harassment, impersonation, malware, or content that is unlawful or infringes someone else's rights. Do not attempt to bypass authentication, permission checks, quotas, the device limit, the watermark or the send pacing, probe or disrupt the service, or scrape it in bulk. Automated access is allowed only through the API and webhooks we provide. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your messages, including data protection and consumer protection law.

Plans, quotas and the watermark

Kirima offers a free plan and paid plans, which differ in the number of connected devices, the monthly message quota and whether a watermark is added. The current plans and prices are shown on the landing page and on your subscription page. The monthly quota counts messages you send and resets at the start of each calendar month (UTC). A send beyond the quota or the device limit is refused, never silently dropped, and requests sent too quickly may be rate limited. On plans that carry a watermark, the line "Dikirim via Kirima" is appended to every message you send. Enterprise (self-hosted) arrangements are governed by a separate written agreement.

Payment, renewal and expiry

Paid plans are paid in advance by bank transfer. Transfer the exact amount shown, then upload the receipt on the subscription page. The plan is activated only after an admin has reviewed and approved the payment, usually during working hours, and a payment that cannot be verified may be rejected. Each approved payment buys a 30-day period. Renewing the same plan before it ends extends the current period. Buying a different plan starts a new 30-day period from the date of approval and does not carry over the remaining days of the previous one. Plans do not renew automatically: we send a reminder three days before the period ends, and when it ends without renewal your account returns to the free plan. If you then have more devices connected than the free plan allows, your devices stay connected but sending pauses until you remove the extra ones. Prices, quotas and promotions may change, but a change never affects a period you have already paid for. Payments are non-refundable, except when we were unable to activate the plan you paid for or where the law requires a refund.

API keys and webhooks

API keys are scoped to sending or reading only and reach only your own devices and chats. Webhooks deliver incoming messages and events to the URL you configure. Each delivery is signed so you can verify it came from Kirima, and failed deliveries are retried for a limited time. You are responsible for securing your endpoint, verifying signatures and handling duplicates. Messages are delivered to WhatsApp on a best-effort basis; Kirima does not guarantee that a message is delivered, read or answered.

Your data and your contacts' data

You keep whatever rights you hold in the content you send, receive and upload. You let us store and process it only to operate Kirima for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. For the messages and contact details of the people you talk to through Kirima, you decide what is processed and why, so you are responsible for having a lawful basis to process them and for answering their requests. Message history is kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically; your chat list is kept while your account exists. Back up anything you need to keep beyond that.

Availability and changes

Kirima is provided as it stands. It depends on WhatsApp, which can change its protocol or behaviour without notice, so features may break, change or be withdrawn. There will be planned and unplanned downtime, and a connected device may occasionally need to be scanned again. No particular uptime is promised unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account, disconnect a device, or revoke a key, with or without notice, if these terms are broken, if the account is used in a way that puts Kirima, WhatsApp numbers or other users at risk, or if the law requires it. A suspension for a breach does not entitle you to a refund. You may stop using Kirima at any time and ask us to delete your account. After closure, your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

Third-party services

Your use of WhatsApp remains governed by WhatsApp's own terms, which you must also follow. Signing in with Google is governed by Google's terms, and bank transfers by your bank's. We are not responsible for services we do not operate, including a number being restricted by WhatsApp.

No warranty

To the extent the law allows, Kirima is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that messages will be delivered, that a number will not be restricted by WhatsApp, or that it fits a particular purpose of yours.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost business, lost data, or the loss or restriction of a WhatsApp number arising from your use of Kirima. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the event that gave rise to it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change as Kirima changes. The date at the top changes with them, and we will tell you about significant changes through the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Kirima after a change means you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any dispute will first be resolved through good-faith discussion and, failing that, by the competent courts of Indonesia. If these terms exist in more than one language, the Indonesian version prevails.
